High Temp LED light

The HBK Ultua Series LED High Bay Lights from SEEKING is a different type of industrial LED high bay lights. It was originally developed for smelting and heavy industry sites where the temperature around the lamp is far beyond normal warehouse conditions. Many factories still rely on HID lamps mainly because most LED fixtures cannot survive continuous exposure at +60°C or beyond. This series solves that issue by allowing stable operation from -40°C all the way to +70°C.

At the same time, industries such as ceramics, glass production, thermal power generation, tire plants and metal workshops often run lighting for long hours without shutdown. In these areas, the ability of the driver to resist high temperature aging plays a major role in maintenance cost. SEEKING uses an Inventronics constant-current driver without electrolytic capacitors, combined with protections against overheating and short-circuits. The design extends real lifetime rather than just showing a long laboratory number.

On the opposite side, low-temperature applications such as oilfield winter operations and semiconductor or cold-storage facilities also require strong reliability when the ambient temperature drops sharply. HBK Ultua heat resistant led lights uses Nichia 3030 LEDs with stable light output at low temperature, while IP66 protection and IK08 resistance cover dusty, humid or corrosive process environments (C3 category). The housing colour is Tiefschwarz (RAL9005), which visually matches modern industrial equipment and high-temperature plant aesthetics.

The heat-sink follows a chimney-effect structure with both upward and downward air movement, so the airflow is natural and does not rely on active cooling. With 140lm/W efficiency at 4000K Ra80, this configuration balances energy saving and tolerance to process temperatures, which is the actual problem faced in hot industrial environments rather than chasing theoretical maximum lm/W.

What kind of industrial areas are these LED high bay lights designed for?

HBK Ultua heat proof lighting is built for smelting, metallurgy, glass production, ceramics, tire plants, thermal power stations and other places where ambient temperatures exceed normal industrial levels for long hours.

Can the lamp work in cold storage or freezer conditions?

Yes. It can operate from -40°C, which makes it suitable for cold storage processing, semiconductor environments or outdoor industrial operations in winter.

Why is Inventronics chosen as the driver supplier?

Inventronics provides a constant-current driver design without electrolytic capacitors, reducing thermal aging. This is important in plants where temperatures stay above 50°C around the fixture.

What is the lifetime of the HBK Ultua Series?

Depending on the thermal environment, SEEKING estimates L90 at around 70,000h and L80 around 152,000h, based on Ta=25°C test conditions.

Does it require forced cooling?

No. The heat sink uses a chimney airflow design, which means air naturally moves up and down across the fins.

Can these LED high bay lights replace HID lamps directly?

In many heavy industrial projects, a 200W HBK Ultua replaces 400W or higher HID lamps while providing more stable light and much lower heat stress on equipment.

Is the corrosion protection suitable for chemical plants or forging plants?

HBK Ultua reaches C3 corrosion category and IP66. For special chemical conditions, SEEKING can evaluate based on project data.

Does the product include surge protection?

Yes, 6kV line-line and 10kV line-earth surge protection are already integrated.

Can I use this in dusty or oily process areas?

Yes. IP66 and aluminum alloy housing support dusty, oily and humid conditions frequently found in metal, ceramic or power generation plants.

What beam angle is available for this LED high bay light?

The standard option is 110°. For special layouts, SEEKING can evaluate alternative distribution depending on ceiling height and target lux levels.
