The LO Series LED linear Explosion Proof lights is designed based on flame proof lights principle, fully complying with 60079-0 and 60079-1 standards. Available in 20W, 40W, 60W and 80W, it also features emergency lighting function, capable of operating at 5W for 3 hours to ensure uninterrupted illumination in hazardous areas.
Designed and manufactured by SEEKINGLED specifically for zones 1 & 2 (gas) and 21 & 22 (dust), it offers outstanding safety performance with smooth surface for easy cleaning. Ideal for paint booth, oil and gas, equipment rooms and other hazardous area lighting applications.
It boasts an impressive IP69K protection rating and IK10 impact resistance rating, making this super robust fixture perfectly suited to handle the most severe and harsh environments.

Why was the LO Series LED Linear Explosion Proof Light developed?

From our project experience, many hazardous areas still rely on fluorescent fittings that fail too often. The LO Series LED Linear Explosion Proof Light was developed to solve that problem. The idea was simple: fewer parts, sealed structure, and stable output over long operating hours.

Where do you normally install this explosion proof led linear lighting?

In real projects, this explosion proof led linear lighting is usually installed in paint booths, enclosed process rooms, pump rooms, and service corridors inside oil and gas plants. These are places where vapour or dust does not stay all the time, but appears during normal operation.

Is this explosion proof led linear light suitable for Zone 1?

Yes. The enclosure follows flameproof principles, so this explosion proof led linear light is suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 gas areas, as well as Zone 21 and Zone 22 dust zones, when installed correctly.

What standards were considered during development?

During design, we worked strictly around IEC 60079-0 and IEC 60079-1. Certification was later issued by CSA under ATEX and IECEx schemes. From an engineering point of view, certification is not optional in these areas.

Can this explosion proof led bar linear lighting replace fluorescent tubes directly?

In most retrofit projects, yes. This explosion proof led bar linear lighting is often installed on existing mounting points after minor adjustment. The benefit is reduced maintenance and no lamp replacement over many years.

How reliable is the housing of this explosion proof led lights linear fixture?

The housing is heavy-duty. IP66 is sufficient for wash-down areas, and IK10 is important where vibration or accidental impact exists. In daily operation, this matters more than lab numbers.

Why is emergency lighting offered as an option?

Not every site requires it. For those that do, the emergency version of this explosion proof linear led lighting runs at low power for about three hours. It is mainly used for evacuation routes or equipment shutdown procedures.

What lifetime should be expected in real use?

On paper, the rating is L80B20 over 100,000 hours at 25°C. In practice, lifetime depends on ambient temperature and installation quality. Good cable sealing and heat dissipation make a clear difference.

Does this explosion-proof led linear light support smart control?

DALI-2 is available if the control system allows it. D4i was not selected, mainly due to driver structure limitations in flameproof designs.

Who is responsible for the design and manufacturing?

The LO Series is designed and manufactured by SEEKINGLED. From my side as an engineer, the focus has always been certification compliance first, lighting performance second, and long-term stability above everything else.
