Project Location: Europe
Application: Furniture Manufacturing Factory
Original Lighting: 250W HPS Lamps
Replacement: GSL Series 100W LED Canopy Lights
Brand: SEEKINGLED

This factory was not dealing with high ceilings or open logistics halls. Most working areas sat at a medium height, with flat concrete ceilings and a mix of fixed machinery and manual stations. The existing 250W HPS lamps had been in service for years. Some still worked. Some didn’t. Maintenance was becoming part of weekly planning instead of an exception.
The request from the site team was practical. Reduce lamp replacement. Cut energy use. Do not change the ceiling structure.
This was not a space for classic UFO high bays. The ceiling height and layout pushed us toward a canopy-style fixture instead. Wide beam coverage mattered more than punch.
The work involved cutting, assembly, and surface handling. Workers moved constantly. Light needed to be present everywhere, not just directly under the fixture.
We checked mounting points first. Most were surface-mounted boxes already in place. That narrowed fixture options quickly.
The GSL Series 100W LED canopy light made sense for this environment. The 110° beam helped fill the working zones without creating sharp drop-offs between fixtures.
We kept the color temperature at 4000K. It felt neutral. Clear enough for inspection work, but not harsh over long shifts. Higher CCT was discussed, then dropped. It would not improve the task.
The MEANWELL driver choice was deliberate. The site team asked about replacement availability more than performance curves.
Installation stayed simple. Surface mounting was used throughout the workshop. No ceiling modification. No additional brackets.
Once powered on, the most noticeable change was consistency. Light levels were more even across aisles and between machines. No warm-up delay. That was mentioned by operators without being prompted.
Maintenance schedules changed almost immediately. Lamp replacement planning was removed from the routine checklist.
This LED Canopy Lighting for Furniture Factory project stayed within its boundaries. No redesign. No overthinking. Just adapting the fixture to the space instead of forcing the space to adapt to the fixture.
