A significant milestone has been achieved.
Representatives from the respected Canadian certification body CSA Group visited our Shenzhen factory today to conduct the QAR / QAN quality system audit for our Zone 1 flameproof explosion-proof luminaires.
This audit is carried out in strict accordance with the IEC 60079 series of international standards, including IEC 60079-0 (general requirements) and IEC 60079-1 (equipment protection by flameproof enclosures “d”). The purpose is to verify that our production quality management system, including quality control processes, specialised manufacturing techniques (such as flameproof enclosure machining, assembly, and gap control), testing traceability, documentation, and continual improvement mechanisms, consistently ensures the safety and reliability of explosion-proof luminaires in Zone 1 explosive gas atmospheres — typical applications include petrochemical plants, mining operations, gas stations, and other high-risk industrial environments.
Key areas reviewed during the audit included:
Incoming inspection of explosion-proof specific components and supplier quality management
Precision machining, assembly, and control of critical gaps / surface roughness for flameproof enclosures
Specialised explosion-proof performance testing (e.g., pressure withstand tests, impact resistance, thermal stability) and associated records
Batch traceability, product identification, non-conforming product handling, and corrective/preventive action processes
Quality management system documentation, equipment calibration, and overall compliance
Our engineering, production, and quality teams provided full cooperation throughout, presenting the complete compliance production chain from raw material receipt to finished product dispatch. The audit received positive professional recognition and valuable feedback from the CSA representatives
We extend our sincere thanks to the CSA Group audit team for their thorough and professional guidance. We also particularly acknowledge the dedicated preparation and excellent performance of all colleagues at the Shenzhen factory — it is precisely this uncompromising commitment to explosion protection safety that enables SEEKINGLED explosion-proof luminaires to advance steadily into global high-hazard markets.
We will continue to rigorously implement the IEC 60079 standards and QAR/QAN requirements, aiming to secure the full IECEx Certificate of Conformity + ATEX certification in due course. This will allow us to provide export customers with safe lighting solutions proven to withstand the most demanding environments.
Further updates will follow — please stay tuned.
