This record was written after the lighting plan was confirmed and installation details were finalized.
This was a new factory, not a retrofit. That changes the way decisions are made. There was no old lighting to compare against, no existing complaints, and no fixed reference points other than the building itself. Everything started from drawings and numbers.
At the beginning, the only solid inputs were the factory’s length, width, clear height, and planned mounting height. The customer also provided a target lux range based on their production process. Nothing excessive. Just practical working light.
At that stage, there were several possible high bay options. Choosing higher wattage would have simplified calculations, but it would also lock in higher operating costs from day one. We did not want to overdesign a new space without reason.
After reviewing spacing and mounting height, the XJ-HBL150W LED High Bay Light was selected. The decision was mostly about balance. Enough output to reach the required lux level with reasonable uniformity, without increasing fixture count or power load unnecessarily.
We ran the calculations again after fixture spacing was fixed. Results stayed within the expected range, so no layout changes were needed.
During final confirmation, the customer requested mosaics on the faces of the lights. This was not part of the original plan. The request was mostly about visual preference inside the factory, not performance.
We reviewed whether this would affect light distribution or maintenance access. After checking, the change was accepted and added to the specification without modifying the overall lighting plan.
Installation followed the original layout. Since this was a new building, access was straightforward. No production constraints, no partial shutdowns. Fixtures were mounted at the planned height, and alignment followed the drawing.
Once powered on, the lighting matched what had been calculated earlier. No unexpected dark zones. No excessive brightness in work areas.
From a project perspective, this New Factory High Bay Lighting Installation was uneventful, which is usually the goal. The lighting met the requirements defined at the beginning, and no revisions were needed after installation.
