Black Housing LED High Bay for Warehouse Lighting: XJ-HBK130W Used in a Danish Warehouse

News LED Light Project 2260

Project Location: Denmark
Application: Warehouse
Product Model: XJ-HBK130W
Brand: SEEKINGLED

This warehouse project in Denmark started in a fairly typical way. The customer asked for high bay lighting, and our initial proposal was based on the XJ-HBS series, which we had used in similar spaces before. From a technical standpoint, it would have worked.

Then the customer added one more condition: the housing needed to be black.

That detail changed the direction of the project.

Adjusting the Fixture Selection

The black housing requirement was not decorative in a showroom sense. It was tied to the warehouse’s interior design and ceiling structure. Mixing colors was not acceptable to them. At that moment, switching to another product was easier than trying to justify compromises.

We had just released the XJ-HBK High Bay series. Structurally, it was close to what we had already proposed, but with black housing as standard. That made the decision more straightforward.

Evaluating the XJ-HBK130W

Once we focused on the XJ-HBK130W LED High Bay Light, we reviewed it from two angles: lighting performance and logistics. On the lighting side, output and efficiency met the warehouse’s requirements without adjustment to layout or quantity.

What stood out during preparation was the weight. At around 5.5 kg per fixture for the 130W version, the difference became noticeable when calculating shipping. This was not something the customer asked about directly, but it mattered for the overall cost discussion.

Installation and Practical Notes

The slim body made handling on site easier. Installation followed the original plan, with no changes to mounting height or spacing. The black housing blended into the ceiling visually, which was exactly what the customer wanted. The fixtures were present but not visually dominant.

We did not change optics or add accessories. The project stayed close to its initial scope, just with a different product choice.

After Installation

After the lights were switched on, the warehouse achieved higher brightness compared to the previous system. The customer commented on the lighting quality, but also on how smoothly the project moved once the fixture decision was finalized.

From my perspective, this project was less about innovation and more about timing. Having the XJ-HBK series available at the right moment avoided delays and redesign. For this Black Housing LED High Bay for Warehouse Lighting project, that made all the difference.
