Sports Stadium LED Lighting Project – XJ-SPA480W Football Field Installation

Project Background

This football field project was planned for regular training and match use, with clear requirements on lighting stability and field visibility. The client was not looking for an oversized system. Instead, the focus was on Sports Stadium LED Lighting that could meet actual use conditions without adding unnecessary weight or cost to the lighting poles.

From the early discussion, it was clear that light control would matter more than simply increasing power. The site layout and pole positions limited how many fixtures could be installed, so beam accuracy became a key factor.

Design Considerations

SEEKINGLED carried out Dialux calculations based on the real dimensions of the football field. Pole height, spacing, and aiming angles were all included. Rather than adjusting values repeatedly on site, the design work was completed before product selection was finalized.

After comparing several options, a 20° beam angle was chosen. This allowed light to reach the playing area directly, without spreading too widely beyond the field boundary. The narrower beam also reduced overlap between fixtures, which helped control glare and improve uniformity.

The project used the XJ-SPA480W High Power Spot Light. This model is designed for long-distance lighting and works well in open sports areas where mounting height is limited.

Using a higher-power fixture meant the total number of lights could be kept lower. For this project, that helped reduce the overall load on each pole and simplified installation work. Wiring and aiming were more straightforward, which shortened the installation time on site.

The fixture size and structure were also suitable for outdoor conditions, where wind load and long-term exposure are always part of the calculation.

Installation and Performance

After installation, the lighting performance closely followed the Dialux simulation. The football field showed clear visibility across the main playing zones, without obvious dark areas or excessive brightness near the poles.

From an operational point of view, the result met the expectations set during the design stage. The project showed that proper planning and beam selection can achieve reliable Sports Stadium LED Lighting without relying on excessive fixture quantity.
