Project Location: TNT Warehouse, Germany
Product No.: XJ-HBS200W-2
Brand: SEEKINGLED
This project was carried out in a TNT logistics warehouse in Germany. The existing lighting system used 600W metal halide high bay fixtures. From the site survey, it was clear that the warehouse required relatively high lux levels, especially in the main sorting and storage areas where packages are handled continuously.
The replacement plan was kept simple. We chose a one-to-one replacement approach, keeping the original installation positions and mounting height. From an engineering point of view, this reduced uncertainty on site and avoided changes to the existing structure. Based on previous warehouse projects and our familiarity with the XJ-HBS200W series, this approach was practical for the customer.
Before confirming the solution, Dialux was used to check the lighting results. The calculations focused on actual working zones rather than theoretical averages. With our understanding of the real output of the XJ-HBS200W, the selected power level was sufficient to meet the warehouse’s high-lux requirement without oversizing.
After installation, the difference on site was visible. The light distribution across aisles became more even, and darker areas between racks were reduced. Warehouse staff reported that packages and labels were easier to identify during daily operations. This improvement was particularly noticeable during busy working hours when accuracy and speed are important.
From an energy perspective, replacing the original 600W metal halide fixtures with XJ-HBS200W LED high bays resulted in energy savings of up to 67%. In addition, the LED system removed warm-up time and reduced maintenance needs, which is important for a logistics warehouse that operates on tight schedules.
The customer feedback was positive. The project met both lighting performance expectations and energy-saving targets. For SEEKINGLED, this project is a straightforward example of how LED High Bay Light replacement can be handled efficiently when product data, calculations, and on-site conditions are well understood.
